Hello Readers,

Get ready, book lovers—the Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale is almost here! From April 24-28, the O’Fallon Public Library will be packed with thousands of books, puzzles, games, and more, all at bargain prices. Whether you're looking for your next great read or a hidden gem, you’re bound to find something special.

But this sale is about more than just great deals—it helps fund library programs like the Outdoor Activity Area, the Storywalk at Thoman Park, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. It’s all made possible by amazing volunteers who sort, organize, and run the sale. Want to help? Visit ofpl.info and click on the Book Sale banner to learn more.

Last year's sale raised over $15,000 and brought in over 3,500 visitors!
Come be part of the magic.

Sam's Pick:

A Sign of Affection-Vol 1-10

by Suu Morishita

This manga is one of the most adorable stories I’ve ever read. When I say you’ll be kicking your feet and giggling over the romance, I mean it! Yuki, a deaf girl navigating her place in the world, has a chance encounter with Itsuomi on a train. Instead of dismissing her because of her disability, he makes an effort to communicate in her way. Their chemistry is absolutely heart-melting and will leave you blushing! There's also an anime adaptation that I just started watching and am really enjoying. I highly recommend this as a fluffy romance read with disability representation and incredibly cute artwork!

The House in the
Cerulean Sea
by TJ Klune
Linus Baker leads a quiet, solitary life. As a Case Worker at the Department in Charge Of Magical Youth, he spends his days overseeing the well-being of children in government-sanctioned orphanages. When Linus is unexpectedly summoned by Extremely Upper Management he's given a curious and highly classified assignment involving a gnome, a sprite, a wyvern, an unidentifiable green blob, a were-Pomeranian, and the Antichrist. Linus must set aside his fears and determine whether or not they’re likely to bring about the end of days. This book is about the profound experience of discovering an unlikely family in an unexpected place—and realizing that family is yours.
