Owl About Books

This month, Owlfred was hoot-ing with excitement because Fire Prevention Week is coming! He fluttered from shelf to shelf, searching for the perfect book to help his owl noggin learn all about fire safety.

WHOOSH! He found it: Fly Guy Presents: Firefighters!

Owlfred LOVES Fly Guy books! He loves learning new things, looking at real pictures, and discovering something new with every page. In this book, he learned all about what firefighters do and WOW, was he impressed!

He especially loved learning about firefighters sliding down the fire pole and seeing all the special gear they wear.

Before long, Owlfred was imagining himself as a firefighter…

“Firefighter Owlfred to the rescue!”

Fly by the library this month and check out Fly Guy Presents: Firefighters along with lots of other books about fire safety! Owlfred hopes you’ll get as excited about learning how to stay safe as he did.

Because when it comes to fire safety, learning is SUPER important! ❤️

Stay safe, stay curious, and keep those owl noggins growing!

Little Boo

by: Stephen Wunderli

In a big world where everyone wants to be noticed and heard, one tiny pumpkin seed wants to be big and scary. He travels around a farm saying, “Boo!” to everyone he meets, but no one is frightened. The wind tells him to be patient because his time will come.

Young readers can relate to the little pumpkin seed because, like him, children often want to grow up quickly and do bigger, more exciting things. This sweet story teaches that growing takes time and patience. Sometimes we have to wait, learn, and enjoy where we are before we become who we are meant to be.
