Owl About Books
This month, Owlfred fluttered into the Youth Services section in search of a special book to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. As he wandered through the shelves, one colorful story quickly caught his eye Paletero Man.

Owlfred couldn't help but smile as he followed a young boy on his exciting search through the neighborhood for Paletero José and his delicious paletas. Just when the boy thought his refreshing treat was within reach, he discovered his dinero was missing. Luckily, the kindness of friends and neighbors showed that working together and caring for one another can make even the hottest summer day a little sweeter.

With its bright illustrations, lively storytelling, and Spanish words woven throughout the pages, Paletero Man is a joyful celebration of community, culture, and kindness. Owlfred especially loved the little boy's determination and the reminder that the greatest treasures are often the people who come together to help one another.

Stop by the library this month to check out Paletero Man and other wonderful books celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. You just might discover a new favorite story to share with your family!

Each story continues where the previous one ends, creating a fun chain of unexpected events. The simple illustrations add even more humor and give readers plenty to notice. With silly characters, surprising twists, and plenty of laughs, this is a playful read-aloud that both children and adults can enjoy together.
