Owl About Town
Owlfred has been very busy this winter and not just staying warm!
Instead of flying south, he’s been flocking to the library for the Winter Reading Challenge. Between snowy days and cozy afternoons, he’s been turning pages, tracking his reading, and reaching his goals.
And guess what? He earned his prize for the month!
Owlfred is feeling proud and excited to share the fun. Every book you log brings you one step closer to earning your own prize, just like he did.
So grab a book, start reading, and join the challenge. Owlfred will be cheering you on from his favorite perch!

Taco Falls Apart
by Brenda S. Miles
Taco Falls Apart is a funny and heartwarming picture book that helps kids understand how their thoughts affect how they feel and act. Taco feels a lot of pressure to hold it all together and meet everyone’s expectations. When worried thoughts start to take over, his shell begins to crack and he falls apart. Through Taco’s story, kids learn how negative self talk can make problems feel bigger and how changing their thoughts can help them feel stronger and more confident. Packed with colorful, playful illustrations and food themed humor, this book gives children helpful tools to get through tough moments in their day.
