Hi everyone,

2026 will be a pivotal year for the O’Fallon Public Library and our community. This fall, residents will vote on a referendum to build a new library that reflects O’Fallon today and supports our future growth. Our current building was designed for a much smaller population and can no longer meet demand. We invite everyone to join the conversation, share ideas, and help shape this important community project. The next hands-on workshop is on Thursday, February 5.  We hope to see you there.  Whether or not you can make it, please visit ofpl.info/togetherofallon to learn more about the planning process, view our FAQ feature, submit a question, and RSVP to future events.

Here’s to big things in ’26!

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides centers on a woman convicted of murdering her husband who has remained silent since the crime. When a therapist becomes determined to treat her, he is drawn into uncovering the truth behind her silence. The novel is a gripping psychological thriller, full of suspense, unreliable perspectives, and unexpected twists.

The House of My Mother
by Shari Franke
I recommend The House of My Mother: A Daughter’s Quest for Freedom by Shari Franke. This book offers a compelling firsthand perspective on growing up while being filmed for a parent’s YouTube channel, 8 Passengers. Told by the eldest child, it explores authenticity, control, and the exploitation of children for public entertainment, making it a thoughtful and unsettling read.
