Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share that Together O’Fallon, a team of local volunteers, is helping us tell the story of why our library needs room to grow. They’re spreading the word about how a new library can better serve our community for years to come. You can learn more, share your thoughts, and RSVP for our November 6 event at ofpl.info/togetherofallon. I hope you’ll join us in shaping the next chapter of O’Fallon’s library story.

The Great Alone

by Kristin Hannah

The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah had me completely hooked—I couldn’t put it down. Set in the rugged, untamed wilderness of 1970s Alaska, the story is a gripping tale of survival and resilience, both mental and physical. At its heart is the powerful bond between a mother and daughter, navigating a harsh landscape and an even harsher reality. The novel also shines a light on the struggles of Vietnam War veterans, exploring the lasting impact of PTSD and the challenges their families face when mental health support is scarce.

The Book of Lost Names
by Kristin Harmel
I love historical fiction, and this book quickly became one of my all-time favorites. Based on a true story from World War II, it follows the incredible journey of a young forger who risks everything to help Jewish children escape Nazi-occupied France. The story is both heartbreaking and inspiring, filled with courage, sacrifice, and the power of hope in the darkest times. I was completely captivated from beginning to end and stayed up way past my bedtime to finish it.
