Owlfred's 7th Birthday

Join us in celebrating a very special day. Our beloved mascot, Owlfred, is turning 7! Swing by the library to wish him a happy birthday, snap a photo, and maybe even snag a birthday surprise. Owlfred has spent the last seven years inspiring readers of all ages, spreading library cheer, and giving the warmest welcomes. Stop by and help us make his big day unforgettable with your smiles and well wishes!

Owl About Town

This month, our favorite feathered friend Owlfred dove into fun at the O’Fallon Aquatic Center! While he didn’t brave the water slides himself, he cheered from poolside as swimmers zoomed by and splashed around. Owlfred soaked up the excitement and spread the fun with every flap of his wings. Who says owls can’t be the life of the pool party?

Each session features a different artist, with students creating their own masterpiece inspired by that artist's unique style. September’s featured artist is Piet Mondrian—discover his bold colors, geometric designs, and the beauty of simplicity as you create Mondrian-inspired art to take home!

Chess Club - Youth (Ages 5 - 14 years old)

Chess Club is Back! Calling all young minds whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, Chess Club is open to all experience levels! Each session kicks off with 30 minutes of fun and focused instruction, followed by open play from 10:30–11:30 a.m. Learn the rules, master your moves, and sharpen your strategy—checkmate awaits!
